::: Green Spectacles :::

There was a millionaire who was bothered by severe eye pain. He consulted so many physicians  and  was  getting  his  treatment done. He did not stop consulting galaxy of medical experts; he consumed heavy loads of drugs and underwent hundreds of injections.

But the ache persisted with great vigour than before. At last a monk who has supposed to  be  an  expert  in treating  such patients was called for by the millionaire. The monk  understood  his  problem  and said that for sometime he should concentrate only on green colours  and  not  to fall his eyes on any other colours.

The millionaire got together a group  of  painters  and purchased barrels of green color and directed that every object his eye was likely   to   fall   to   be   painted   in   green   colour   just   as  the  monk  had directed.

When   the   monk  came  to  visit  him  after  few  days,  the  millionaire’s  servants ran with buckets of green paints and poured on him since he was in red dress, lest their master not see any other colour and his eye ache would come back.

Hearing  this  monk  laughed said “If only you had purchased a pair of green spectacles,  worth  just  a  few  rupees, you could have saved these walls and trees and pots and all other  articles and also could have saved a large share of his fortune. You cannot paint the  world green.”

::: Source of Inspiration :::

This is a story of two brothers. One was a drug addict and a drunker who frequently beat up his family. The other one was a very successful businessman who was respected in society and had a wonderful family.

Some people wanted to find out why two brothers from the same parents, brought up in the same environment, could be so different.

The first one was asked, “How come you do what you do? You are a drug addict, a drunk, and you beat your family. What motivates you?” He said, “My father.” They asked, “What about your father?” The reply was, “My father was a drug addict, a drunk and he beat his family. What do you expect me to be? That is what I am.”

They went to the brother who was doing everything right and asked him the same question. “How come you are doing everything right? What is your source of motivation?” And guess what he said? “My father. When I was a little boy, I used to see my dad drunk and doing all the wrong things. I made up my mind that that is not what I wanted to be.”

Both were deriving their strength and motivation from the same source, but one was using it positively and the other negatively.

::: Michael What’s The Cost Of This Cloth :::

Inspirational, Story Of D Day

michael-jordanEnglish

::: Michael What’s The Cost Of This Cloth :::

This Story Can Change The Way You Think

Michael Jordan Was An African-American Man, Born In 1963, In The Slums Of Brooklyn, New York.
He Had Four Brothers And His Father’s Wages Were Not Sufficient To Provide For The Whole Family.
He Grew Up In A Poor Neighborhood Which Was Full Of Discrimination, To The Point Where He Could Not See Any Hope For The Future.

When He Was 13 Years Old, His Father Gave Him A Piece Of Used Clothing And Asked: “What Do You Think The Value Of This Outfit Would Be?”

Jordan Replied, “Maybe One Dollar.”

His Father Asked, “Can You Sell It For Two Dollars? If You Can Sell It, It Would Mean That You Are A Big Help To Your Father And Mother. ”

Jordan Nodded His Head, “I’ll Try, But No Guarantee That I’ll Be Successful.”

Jordan Carefully Washed The Clothes Clean. Because They Didn’t Have An Iron, To Smoothen Out Clothes, He Leveled It With A Clothes Brush On A Flat Board, Then Kept It In The Sun To Dry. The Next Day, He Brought The Clothes To A Crowded Underground Station. After Offering It For More Than Six Hours. Jordan Finally Managed To Sell It For $2. He Took The Two Dollar Bill And Ran Home.

After That, Everyday He Looked For Used Clothing, Washed And Ironed It And  Sold It In The Crowd.
More Than Ten Days Later, His Father Again Gave Him A Piece Of Used Clothing, “Now Think Of A Way That You Can Sell These Clothes For 20 Bucks?”

Jordan Said, “How Is It Possible? This Outfit Can Only Fetch Two Dollars At The Most. ”

His Father Replied In An Effort To Inspire Him, “Why Don’t You Try It First? There Must Be A Way.”

Finally, Jordan Got An Idea He Asked For Cousin’s Help To Paint A Picture Of Donald Duck And Mickey Mouse On The Garment. Then He Tried To Sell It In The School Where The Children Of The Rich Study. Soon A Housekeeper, Who Was There To Pick His Master, Bought Clothes For His Master. The Master Was A Little Boy Of Only 10 Years But Was Very Fond Of Clothes. He Loved It So Much And He Gave A Five Dollar Tip. 25 Dollars Was A Huge Amount For Jordan, The Equivalent Of A Month’s Salary Of His Father.

When He Got Home, His Father Gave Him Yet Another Piece Of Used Clothing. “Are You Able To Resell It At A Price Of 200 Dollars?” His Eyes Lit Up.

This Time, Jordan Accepted The Clothes Without The Slightest Doubt. Two Months Later A Popular Movie Actress From The Movie “Charlie’s Angels”, Farah Fawcett Came To New York For Her Movie Promos. After The Press Conference, Jordan Made His Way Through The Security Forces To Reach The Side Of Farah Fawcett And Requested Her Autograph On The Piece Of Clothing. When Fawcett Saw This Innocent Child Asking For Her Autograph, She Gladly Signed It.

Jordan Was Shouting Very Excitedly, “This Is A Jersey Signed By Miss Farah Fawcett, The Selling Price Is 200 Dollars!” He Auctioned Off The Clothes, To A Businessman For A Price Of 1,200 Dollars!

Upon Returning Home, His Father By Broke Into TEARS And Said, “I Am Amazed That You Did It My Child!  You’re Really Great! ”

That Night, Jordan Slept Alongside His Father. His Father Said, “Son, In Your Experience Selling These Three Pieces Of Clothing, What Did You Learn About Success?”

Jordan Replied, “Where There’s A Will, There’s A Way.”

His Father Nodded His Head, Then Shook His Head, “What You Say Is Not Entirely Wrong! But That Was Not My Intention. I Just Wanted To Show You That A Piece Of Used Clothing Which Is Worth Only A Dollar Can Also Be Increased In Value, Then How About Us – Living & Thinking Humans? We Maybe Darker And Poorer, But What’s The Difference? ”

This Thought Enlightened Young Jordan. Even A Piece Of Used Clothing Could Be Made Dignified, Then Why Not Me? There Is Absolutely No Reason To Underestimate Myself.

From Then On, Michael Jordan Felt That His Future Would Be Beautiful And Full Of Hope.

::: 6 Years, 35 Attempts and $180 Million Overnight :::

entrepreneurship, Story Of D Day

CharlesForman

::: 6 Years, 35 Attempts and $180 Million Overnight :::

Here’s Charles.

A month ago he was set to close his business. This week, he sold it for $180 million. That’s why he’s smiling…

After six years trying to figure out how to make games on the iPhone, Charles Forman was about to give up, with his company, Omgpop, set to run out of money by this May. Things changes three days ago. He said in an interview with the New York Times on Monday “I had $1,700 in my bank account yesterday, and now I have a whole lot more.”

So what changed? After 35 attempts at making games that would be successful, the Omgpop team finally found a hit at the beginning of February. The game, called “Draw Something” is like Pictionary for the iPhone. Since it launched on Feb 6th, it has been downloaded 35 million times. It caught the attention of Zynga, the game company behind Farmville and other Facebook game hits. A month after the game launched, Zynga just bought Omgpop from Charles for $180 million.

Do you have the perseverance to try to create a success after 35 failures?
Is it worth the six years of trying and failing to reach the runaway success?
This is another example of hyper-growth that comes from getting your surf board back out there again and again.

“सबसे कीमती चीज़ : आप” – ये कहानी आपकी ज़िन्दगी बदल सकती है

Story Of D Day

1704201825c72903b6ce4289f177d5c4fff242deccx800x600x67

::: The Eighteenth Camel :::

Story Of D Day

18th-camelforblogstory

::: The Eighteenth Camel :::

A father left 17 camels as an asset for his three sons.

When the father passed away, his sons opened up the will. The Will of the father stated that the eldest son should get half of 17 camels while the middle son should be given 1/3rd (one-third). The youngest son should be given 1/9th (one-ninth) of the 17 camels.

As it is not possible to divide 17 into half or 17 by 3 or 17 by 9, three sons started to fight with each other.

So, the three sons decided to go to a wise man. The wise man listened patiently about the Will. The wise man, after giving this thought, brought one camel of his own and added the same to 17. That increased the total to 18 camels.

Now, he started reading the deceased father’s will. Half of 18 = 9. So he gave the eldest son 9 camels. 1/3rd of 18 = 6. So he gave the middle son 6 camels. 1/9th of 18 = 2. So he gave the youngest son 2 camels.

Now add this up: 9 plus 6 plus 2 is 17 and this leaves one camel, which the wise man took back.

::: Moral Of The Story :::

The attitude of negotiation and problem solving is to find the 18th camel i.e. The common ground.
Once a person is able to find the common ground, the issue is resolved. It is difficult at times. However, to reach a solution, the first step is to Believe that there is a solution  ..If we think that there is no solution, we won’t be able to reach any!

::: Sonia “I AM SORRY” :::

Story Of D Day

iamsorryforblogstory

::: Sonia “I AM SORRY” :::

Once There Was A Man Who Had 3 Daughters And Was A Single Parent To His Children. One Morning He Asked His Oldest Daughter, Sonia, To Do The Breakfast Dishes Before Going To School. Not Realizing That She Was Already Running Late And Facing Too Many Tardy Notices, He Was Stunned By Her Reaction. She Burst Into Profuse Tears. Again, Misinterpreting The Motive Behind The Outburst, Assuming That She Was Merely Trying To Get Out Of An Unpleasant Chore, He Demanded That She Dry Her Tears And Get Back To Work Immediately. She Reluctantly Obeyed Him, But Her Anger Could Be Clearly Heard In The Careless Clanking Of The Dishes In The Sink, She Turned Back To Her Father And Stared Sullenly Out The Window. Usually The Man Use To Take Advantage Of The Uninterrupted Time To Spend With His Children While Driving Them To School By Teaching Poetry Or Religious Verses. However That Morning There Was No Songs- Only Deathly, Stubborn Silence. The Man Dropped His Daughter, Mumbled A Good Bye And Moved To Office. He Tried To Work But Couldn’t Concentrate All He Could See Was His Daughter’s Scared, Tear-Stained Face As She Hesitantly Climbed Out Of The Car To Face Her Teachers And Classmates. The Man Began To Realize That His Timing Had Gone Wrong And With The Passage Of The Day He Began To Feel Remorseful. So He Decided To Say Sorry To His Daughter And Couldn’t Wait Till Suppertime To Apologize. So He Took Permission From The School To Take His Daughter For Lunch And Was Astonished To See The Surprise On Her Face. He Led Her By Her Arm Through The Corridor And As The Doors Banged Behind Them, He Turned Towards His Daughter And Said, “Sonia I Am Sorry. I Am So Very Sorry! It’s Not That I Shouldn’t Have Asked You to Help out At Home, But I Had No Right On It This Morning Without Any Previous Warning. I Upset You At A Time When You Most Needed My Love And Support- Just Before You Went To School. And I Let You Go Without Saying ‘I Love You’. I Was Wrong. Please Forgive Me.”

Sonia Put Her Arms Around Her Father’s Neck And Hugged Him And Said “Oh, Dad, Of Course I Forgive You. I Love You Too.”

::: Moral Of The Story :::

The Power Of These Restorative Words, “I Am Sorry!” Is Such That They Heal Relationships – Between Us And Our Friends And Loved Ones, And Between Us And God.

::: WILMA – An Inspiration :::

Inspirational, Story Of D Day

WilmaRudolphForBLOGSTORY

::: THE WILMA RUDOLPH STORY :::

Wilma Rudolph was born into a poor home in Tennessee. At age four, she had double pneumonia with scarlet fever, a deadly combination which left her paralyzed with polio.

She had to wear a brace and the doctor said she would never put her foot on the earth. But her mother encouraged her; she told Wilma that with God-given ability, persistence and faith she could do anything she wanted.

Wilma said, “I want to be the fastest woman on the track on this earth.” At the age of nine, against the advice of the doctors, she removed the brace and took the first step the doctors had said she never would.

At the age of 13, she entered her first race and came way, way last. And then she entered her second, and third and fourth and came way, way last until a day came when she came in first.

At the age of 15 she went to Tennessee State University where she met a coach by the name of Ed Temple. She told him, “I want to be the fastest woman on the track on this earth.” Temple said, “With your spirit nobody can stop you and besides, I will help you.”

The day came when she was at the Olympics and at the Olympics you are matched with the best of the best. Wilma was matched against a woman named Jutta Heine who had never been beaten.

The first event was the 100-meter race. Wilma beat Jutta Heine and won her first gold medal. The second event was the 200-meter race and Wilma beat Jutta a second time and won her second gold medal.

The third event was the 400-meter relay and she was racing against Jutta one more time. In the relay, the fastest person always runs the last lap and they both anchored their teams. The first three people ran and changed the baton easily.

When it came to Wilma’s turn, she dropped the baton. But Wilma saw Jutta shoot up at the other end; she picked the baton, ran like a machine, beat Jutta a third time and won her third gold medal.

It became history: That a paralytic woman became the fastest woman on this earth at the 1960 Olympics.
